Manitou Arbor Ecovillage

Join our presentation and hear about the journey undertaken to create Manitou Arbor Eco-village, an intentional community with sustainability as the fundamental tenet. You’ll hear how we traveled the path from Vision to Reality, which included the writing of a covenant and by-laws to address how we’ll live in community. The journey also included the examination of visionary green building standards and the reality based standards that were ultimately adopted. Manitou Arbor Eco-Village is located in Comstock Township, 15 minutes east of downtown Kalamazoo, MI.  It will be situated on 60-acres and residents will have access to the surrounding 210-acres.

Presenters will be Sue Norman and Craig Ressler, active members of the community. Please come and hear about this unique community.
