Kris has 28 years of construction experience, the past 20 as a project manager with Owens-Ames-Kimball Co. Among his notable projects are renovations to the Grand Rapids Public Library’s Main Ryerson Building and the new Byron Center High School. Sustainability and Energy Management Consultant, Hurst Mechanical
At Hurst Mechanical Cheri specializes in helping companies obtain LEED for Operation & Maintenance certification. She is a LEED Accredited Professional with extensive experience in the HVAC industry. Other areas of expertise include sustainable purchasing, water & energy efficiency, indoor air quality, alternative transportation and recycling. Cheri is an active member of the US Green Building Council and in early 2008 founded the West Michigan Chapter LEED for Existing Building Advocacy Group. She is still serving as Chairperson for that group today. Cheri served as a subject matter expert for Green Building Certification Institute ( GBCI) LEED for EB Operations and Maintenance test development in 2008 and the LEED reviewer exam in 2009. Recently, Cheri served as a 2010 Greenbuild session reviewer. Holman is also a partner in Holman Heating & Cooling, a residential HVAC company in Greenville, MI. Energy and Sustainability Consulatant, Energy Finance Analytics
Victor earned his Bachelor of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University and Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan. He has worked at several local architecture firms in the past ten years, and is currently working with Energy Finance Analytics, an affiliate of PM Environmental as a Energy and Sustainability Consultant. He has volunteered with several area non-profit organizations: Urban Institute of Contemporary Art, Grand Rapids Public Museum, and Local First. Victor was a coordinator in the “Green Buildings of West Michigan” project hosted by USGBC-WM, assisting with energy use analysis at area institutions such as the Grand Rapids Art Museum and Grand Rapids Community Foundation and acting as a contributing editor to the companion book of building case studies. Steve has a Bachelor of Science, Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration for the University of Michigan. He has over 25 years of experience in the architectural profession, and in 2009 established InForm Architecture, a collaborative architectural practice providing professional design services to community and faith-based organizations with a focus on sustainable design, historic preservation, adaptive re-use and contextual design. Energy and Environmental Engineer, Michigan State University Physical Plant
Lynda has worked for Michigan State University for 25 years in the Physical Plant Engineering & Architectural Services (EAS) as project manager for renovation projects and new construction. She graduated from MSU with a B.S. in electrical engineering, is a registered professional engineer. Lynda was the first person in the Engineering & Architectural Services (EAS) office at Physical Plant to become a LEED Accredited Professional. As project manager in EAS she oversaw the design of the Chemistry Building addition project that was the first building on campus to receive LEED Silver Certification with the United States Green Building Council. Her current position as Energy and Environmental Engineer for campus involves a wide variety of duties including; leading several sub-teams regarding Energy Conservation; a utility smart metering upgrade project for campus, coordinating with a building retro-commissioning team to complete a 5 year plan to commissioning over 100 facilities on campus. VP of Sustainability,Nichols and President of SustainAble Solutions, a Division of Nichols
Renae is a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council West Michigan chapter, completing her fourth year on the board of directors. She has been with Nichols (a distributor of custodial and packaging supplies) for 15 years in various positions and two years ago moved into to a new role within the company as Vice President of Sustainability. Nichols is seeking LEED-EB O & M (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance). Renae has been involved in the successful implementation of eight Green Cleaning programs that have lead to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits and another eight programs in process. Other roles include: leadership team of the Muskegon Sustainability Coalition; advisor for MiBiz Triple Bottom Line quarterly news; Grand Valley State University’s Sustainable Community Development Initiative (SCDI); and on an advisory committee for Delta Institute in Michigan. Renae is a regular writer for the U.S. Green Building Council West Michigan Chapter’s monthly column in MiBiz. Identified by MiBiz as a “Champion of Sustainability”. Contributed two cases studies published in “The Business of Green Cleaning” by Stephen Ashkin and David Holly. In 2009 she was recognized as an “Agent of Change” by the Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce and featured in the Muskegon Chronicle’s Working Women: Learning from These Successful Area Women”. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan. He has over 29 years of experience with several firms in Baltimore, Maryland and Grand Rapids, Michigan including roles of Senior Associate in a 20 person architectural firm, Education Project Manager in a 330 person A/E firm, and now as Principal and Board member of C2AE; a 110 person A/E firm, where Dennis leads the Education/Civic Team and C2AE’s Sustainability Design. Dennis is licensed to practice architecture in 10 states. His most notable projects in West Michigan include The Hastings Public Library; a LEED Gold Library, Ada Christian School and subsequent addition that obtained LEED Certified level, Cornerstone University Dining Commons Renovation, Rockford Christian School, and Van Buren ISD’s Community Based Transitions Center. He is a member of AIA Grand Valley, NCARB, USGBC, SCUP, Michigan APPA, MASA, and MAISA. Dennis has been a past Trustee Chair and now a member of the Administrative Council for Cornerstone United Methodist Church. He has served as a reading mentor at East Leonard Elementary in the Grand Rapids Public Schools and is currently a mentor at the Academy for Design and Construction in the Grand Rapids Public Schools.Scott Veine, LEED AP

An accomplished speaker on sustainability, operations environmental performance, and environmental strategies David educates and inspires community, customers, and business influencers through numerous board and community activities, national conferences, and educational events. David has a Bachelor's in Microbiology and Public Health from Michigan State University and a Master's in Management from Aquinas College. David participated as a member of the foundation committee that formed the West Michigan Chapter.
