Information: Major Renovation and Restoration project of an 8 story Mix-use urban downtown building site. This eight-story, 108,000 SF building has a prominent position in the history of Grand Rapids. Known for many years. With the exit of retailers from the downtown area, this large property sat empty for many years. The project was comprised of three buildings - one 8-story concrete, of which 5 stories sat vacant for years, on 4-story steel, and one 1800's era wood structure in the back. Rockford judged the building sound and combined the three structures, removing walls when necessary to meet layout needs for a new tenant. The building is currently home to anchor tenant, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, which made the decision to move from a suburban office environment to become part of the downtown neighborhood. This building is also home to Schuler Books & Music and the downtown Grand Rapids Independent Bank branch office. Building Features:
