GVSU Neimeyer Living Center

Like all new buildings on Grand Valley’s campus, Neimeyer Learning and Living Center was designed and constructed to meet LEED standards. As a result of developing a strict construction waste policy, the Neimeyer Learning and Living Center project was able to recycle more than 96% of construction waste. Careful consideration was taken when selecting a location for the Neimeyer Learning and Living Center. To minimize its impact on the natural environment, the center was constructed on a previously developed site which consisted of a 626-space impervious asphalt parking lot. With the completion of the center, the site now consists of four buildings, green spaces and a 35-space parking lot.
