Information:

Keystone needed a building in which to worship on a regular basis.  The Assembly space seats 400 and doubles as a multi purpose space. They also have offices and smaller meeting spaces that will get used on a daily basis.

Building Features: 

  • LEED-NC Version 2 Certified
  • Bike storage rack (outside) with changing room and showers (inside)
  • Alternative fuel refueling station (parking lot)
  • Protected and restored open space with a modest development footprint kept tree removal to under 100 trees and less than 1 acre of deforestation; utilized soil balancing with no trucking in of topsoil and minimal sand (for foundations only)
  • Vegetational Swales and a mitigation pond contains 100% of the sites storm water management
  • Landscape that reduces the heat island (provides shade) and is drought tolerant with native plantings
  • 20% of the building materials used had either a recycled content or were a regional material
  • Large windows were used to harness daylight
