Spectrum Health - Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion
Even before the ground was broken for the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, Spectrum Health knew it wanted to create an environmentally-friendly facility.
Elements of this green building include reducing the amount of water used in toilets and in landscaping, using low-emitting materials such as non-toxic paint, and providing access to alternative transportation by having a bus stop near the facility. From the high-efficiency LED-based lights in the exterior sign, to the gardens on the rooftops that will help maintain the building temperature, the pavilion demonstrates Spectrum’s commitment to sustainability
With its innovative design, the pavilion was the first Spectrum Health building to earn a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
