St. Anthony of Padua Rectory

Information: One of the missions of the church is to be “stewards of the environment”, what does that really mean? And how did it fit in with the dilemma that they were faced with. When confronted with a mold infested, run down, leaky living quarters for their pastor, they knew. Underlying many green design issues is a key question – Is there a need to build at all? In other words, can an existing building be rehabilitated instead of building a new one? This question runs through the entire integrated design process and is one that the owners of the property @ 1776 Acacia Dr faced. The owners of the property knew that they had the right location, a solid foundation, existing utilities and space. What they needed was help. Rockford Construction was brought in as a Design Build Contractor and along with a committee from the church they came up with a plan. They would take the old structure down to the foundation and rise in its place a Rectory that would not only house the staff but would also be a statement of the mission.
