New Implementation Advisory Committee

USGBC would like to notify the members of this corresponding committee that the Certification committee has transitioned to Implementation Advisory Committee. Under LEED v3, the project certification process moved to the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), an independent non-profit organization established in 2007 with the support of USGBC. Working together with the third-party certification bodies, GBCI will deliver a substantially improved, ISO-compliant certification process that will be able to grow with the green building movement.

USGBC continues to administer the development and ongoing improvement of the LEED rating system. The LEED Implementation Advisory Committee is a committee of the LEED Steering Committee (LSC) charged with assessing and recommending solutions to the LSC for review and approval. Its purpose is to advise USGBC staff on the scope, content and rigor of technical resources and tools supporting LEED programs, with the goal of maintaining LEED's integrity while also providing an effective, predictable and satisfying LEED customer engagement.
