WMEAC welcomes interns from a variety of backgrounds – both students and community members. All WMEAC internships include a one-time stipend, with all the benefits of hands-on experience in an environmental nonprofit. We have opportunities for those interested in journalism, social media & communications, business & marketing, biology and resource management, environmental education, fund development, event planning, sustainability, policy and more. WMEAC interns leave with new skills, a portfolio of work, professional connections and WMEAC’s appreciation.


Internship Semesters:


Winter/Spring Semester: January – AprilSummer Semester: May – AugustFall Semester: September – December


WMEAC also has two longer positions available that require a two-semester commitment – the Women, Community & the Environment internship and the Water Fellowship. These positions are posted when available and you must be available for both semesters to be eligible.
